The meat of lamb, chicken, salmon along with pulses can be offered to your dog.
To stay fit and sound, dogs need energy. So the food for your dog must also contain balanced amount of fat and oils. If you have a young pup or a pregnant dog, you should offer your dog with a calcium rich diet. Calcium and phosphorous help in development of strong bones, teeth, cells and tissues.
Your dog also needs carbohydrates. Food items like pasta, rice and other cereals should be given to the pet. To promote proper functioning of the digestive system you may include green leafy vegetables. Fibrous vegetables promote bowel movements.
Though milk is an essential part of a dog’s diet but it should not substitute water. To attain balance of the body fluid content your dog should take in ample amount of water. Too much consumption of milk may also lead to diarrhea. So, give your dog to drink milk in right amount as it is one of the essential fluids included in a balanced diet along with water.
